Michelle bred her Bloodhound bitch. The puppies are expected to arrive on September 19 and since Michelle is pregnant, a friend of hers decided to throw a puppy shower to prepare ourselves for the baby shower. Umm, yeah. That's right, I said a puppy shower. What was that about a life?
Anyway, I'm making the cake. I don't know what to do since for a baby shower, I make a baby carriage shaped cake. I'm thinking a plain old chocolate cake since the dog won't be there. I just had the thought that the shower is Saturday so perhaps I should order something. I bought her two 15" puppy feeder bowls. $17.99 each (the other place I found them were "on sale" for $33.99 each). However, since I didn't buy a minimum of $50, I was charged a fee so, with shipping, I paid $52 for the stupid things. Highway robbery. And in three months I get to spend more money for the baby shower.
Well, it's Monday and I'm going to take the afternoon off. I deserve it, don't I? Some friends of Michelle's moved here (they arrived last night) so I think I'm going to go help them move in. Or something. They took us to dinner last night, too bad all I wanted was a strawberry lemonade. If I'd known they were going to pay I would've gotten something! I made spaghetti sauce yesterday so I had to "taste it" all afternoon. I was pretty full by the time it was time to meet them for dinner. Wanna come over for dinner, I have a ton of sauce?
Only an hour and a half until I leave so I guess I should get back to work.
