It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like...Fall

No snow. We haven't had snow since that few inches around Thanksgiving. The ski resorts opened...and then closed. The sun is shining, the temperatures are low, it may as well be Halloween.

My furniture for my new office came. I started to assemble it this morning before getting the response to my e-mail yesterday about getting the departmental handyman to do it. I don't mind putting it together, but in the 15 minutes that I was working this morning, three people came in to look over my shoulder. Get.the.hell.away. It's a simple matter of inserting Slot A into Slot B, my x chromosome does allow me understanding of instruction manual graphics and text. Hell, I used to edit instruction manuals for Pete's sake! Anyway, if the handyman can't do it, then I'll come in over the break and do it when no one's around. So there.

It's settled, this year's retreat is going to be in Coeur d'Alene. Again. I was kinda hoping for Walla Walla (Washington). At least it's easier to organize since the resort is pretty much a well oiled machine. The day before the retreat, I'm going to a seminar in Spokane with a couple of people from work. It should be OK. I think I've already established that I'm driving. One of the women isn't a very confident driver and I don't know about the other. Better safe than sorry.
