Hi-Ho

At today's weekly meeting of the research group, I got a lot more work. The grant's renewal date is in October (instead of June of next year) so I now have to try and plan a weekly brainstorming meeting for 13 faculty. Yeah, right. I've heard from 4 of them and already there are only three hour long slots that those 4 can make. It was also decided to move up the External Advisory Committee meeting to August from October so it can review the proposal. The Bossman said that the majority of the Summer will be writing the renewal, but he's probably going to be gone for 5 weeks in May and June. My vacation was supposed to be at that time, but it's being pushed back because of a co-worker's maternity leave. It looks like it'll be a long time since then we'll have the renewal for October. After the renewal is the progress report for the current funding. I know, complain, complain, complain.

My dad put one of his rental houses on the market and immediately got four offers, the least of which was full price. If things go through he'd come down to look at houses in the valley for the 1031 exchange. I don't know if that's this weekend (as in tomorrow) or next. Hopefully it's next because I haven't cleaned the house. I guess I'll find out tonight. I may have to do a flurry of cleaning. I've been putting it off so that I can do it right this weekend. Fingers crossed that he comes next weekend instead.
