I came in to an e-mail this morning that stated all of the bean counting information for our programs are due today at 5:00. OK, hiring committee 10:00-11:30, faculty meeting 1:30-3:00 and somewhere in between entering information into a web interface program full of kinks, asking for information that I need to collect from faculty memebers. Yeah, not happening.
At 12:30 the financial person comes in wanting to talk to me and the bossman. We grab him at 1:00 and she tells us that she's applying for another job. She's competant and even though a bit aggresive with others, she's friendly with co-workers. She's been here for almost 7 months. The person we're hiring is supposed to assist her.
I'm going to stop for some beer on the way home. Maybe even tequila.
