Cat Calls

My poor cat's at the vet. I filled her food dish on Monday at 6:00am and she didn't touch it until this morning (Wednesday). On Monday, she was quite lethargic and stayed in her bed. On Tuesday, she came over to sleep next to me. This morning she was a little more herself, but I still want confirmation from the vet, so $164 later and we'll see what's wrong.

As I was writing that, I got a call from the vet. They'll do "support care" which includes an "across the board" antibiotic, give her an appetite stimulant, and a hydration treatment (inserted under the skin). Then they'll do the blood work and the results will be available tomorrow morning.

I know she's just a cat and she probably just ate a piece of rodent that didn't agree with her, but, I'd like to be sure. No animal suffers at my house. Well, except the rodents, spiders, moths, dragonflies, worms and slugs that she eats.

Update: She's fine. Blood tests came back clean.
