I had e-mailed a couple people I hadn't heard from and was told that they "probably" wouldn't come to the Halloween get together, but they think that three others I hadn't heard from were planning on coming. Do I really need to explain R.S.V.P.?!
The party was fun. Michelle and her husband and kid and a co-worker and her two kids came on time. We had pizza and 7 layer dip and cookies and hot cider and beer. They all left at about 7:30 which was great. They were people I wanted to come, not people I felt obligated to invite. Perfect. I had way too much pizza thinking three others would come so I ended up sending a lot of pizza home with everyone. Then, at 8:00, the others show up. And it's not just the three people I invited, but two people (mother and daughter) who were out with them. Umm, excuse me. It didn't help that the mother works in this department. The first thing one of the kids said was, "Oh, pizza!" Umm, yeah, if I'd known you were coming, I would've saved you some. So, they ate a couple of pieces of my pizza. Asstards. That was for breakfast and lunch.
On the bright side, I guess it's good that they came since I had thought they were going to show up so I made them caramel apples. I just didn't know that they'd be two hours late.
