Painted Lady

Did you know that there are 20,000 different paint colors used in Walt Disney World? According to Walt Disney World Trivia Book: Secrets, History and Fun Facts Behind the Magic. I got it for my birthday. 196 days until my trip so I better start brushing up.

Speaking of birthdays...I went to Seattle and ate a lot. As birthdays go, it was one of the best. :) Let me tell you about the brunch with the fountain o' liquid chocolate and omelet station, crepe station, prime rib, seafood, potatoes (hashed, quartered, and salad), two tables of desserts, etc. Not to mention the perfect Bellini. Ok, so they used nectar instead of puree and I think they also added vodka, so it wasn't a pure original Bellini, but it was still good.

I got home on Sunday night and there was quite a bit of snow on my walks. However, Monday was 37 degrees so I decided to leave it to melt a little on its own. Bad choice. Tuesday was about 28 degrees and we're supposed to be below freezing at least for the next ten days. This morning on the radio I heard that it was currently 7 degrees, but with windchill it's -7. Yeah, that makes me want to get out of bed. I'm glad I ordered some instant chai to bring to work. Hope it gets here soon.

Also when I got home, my dish was covered in ice. Hmm, no TV. I bought a portable heater last night and put it on the ladder...of course 9 degrees is cold so it didn't put out much heat. It was, however, enough to get me the major networks and the WB and Fox.

A co-worker is moving this weekend and she mentioned me helping her paint the kitchen cupboards in the new place before she moves in. Obviously, she's never seen me paint. She's so excited to rent a place that lets her paint in colors. That was actually quite a big thing in my world when I bought my house. Hence the yellow, dark blue, sage, dark brown, light brown, purple, and cranberry colors in my house. 20,000 colors here I come. But it's tasteful and cozy, I swear.
