F is for Fancies Bright and Dark

I had received a recommendation for Jasper Fforde novels. I bought his first, The Eyre Affair, and it arrived yesterday. Unfortunately, I don't have time to read it now, I have a backlog of books at the moment. Guess I shouldn't've reread Harry Potter 7. And, since I'm going to Omaha! in 10 days, I have my usual airport book, Good Omens. I hate reading in airports, it's so distracting, so I take that one along because I know it so well that I can stop in mid-stream -- I'm usually one of the those people who have to read to the next chapter no matter what.

Anyway, Fforde is supposed to be humorous (humourous -- he's British) and clever. We will see. Hope there's not too much Jane Eyre, I didn't care for that book. I guess I'm not much of a chick lit chick since I also never really cared for Jane Austen.
