My cousin e-mailed to say that she finished her last Herceptin treatment on Monday. She is now free and clear of cancer. After a year and a half of chemo and herceptin, I think she deserves dinner at The Melting Pot, so I sent her a gift certificate. I was going to be a cheap skate, but figured, hell, I'm going to go next month and I didn't have to go through a double mastectomy. It's the friggin' least I can do.
I went to the gym this morning. It's nice getting there at dark and then coming out to a sunrise. It always seems extra early going in the dark, especially when the traffic lights aren't on yet. Although, since they don't come on until 6:30 or 7:00, there will probably not be a time when they're not off when I go to the gym.
They're going to be having a Biggest Loser contest and I was thinking of signing up, just for the kick in the ass, but I saw a name on the sign-up sheet that I'd rather avoid, so I won't. Besides, the contest is through my trip to San Diego and the holidays. No way.

Good luck (and good job) on the gym! It's tough but the results are worth it. At least I keep telling myself that... Also, whenever I do contests at my gym I never have to see or talk to the other participants, so I don't think you get to use that as an excuse not to sign up. :P
Well, if you want to be reasonable about it, then I can't justify my way out of it.
