Too Hot to Handle, Too Cold to Hold

I house-sat last weekend and I think that Stacey's house in winter is like Las Vegas -- anything over 3 days is just too much. The first day, I drove up and decided to feed the equines and close the chickens up before going inside to feed the dogs. Yeah, I was in tennis shoes so ended up sliding down the hill while trying to climb up it with the hay. I finally got up and then slid down on my backside. It was like a Laurel and Hardy movie. The next morning I definitely changed into my boots.

One of the dogs came into heat so we may have puppies in late February, depending on impregnation next week.

I made all of my Christmas candies last night and got up at 4:00 this morning to make the baklava. Hot cider (yes, I burned my tongue -- it's as bad as Cup o' Noodle), pecan pralines, English toffee, fudge, cinnamon-sugared pecans, and baklava. My tummy hurts and it's not even noon.

It's cold again. We've had rain for the past four days and now we have below freezing for at least the next seven. We are expecting snow tomorrow night so if it does, it'll stick around to Christmas.

That is all. Go about your day.

And save me from eating any more sweets. Ugh...ooh! Fudge!
