This year is weird. We're only 9 days into it and it seems like it should at least be a month.

We got 5-1/4" of snow last night so the whole town stops. Schools are closed (except the university, of course) and there is no turning left in town -- thanks to the city's "snow management" practice of plowing the snow into a strip in the middle of the roads. But, it is a beautiful day. Everything looked so clean this morning and we have bright blue skies. I came this close to making a snow angel while shoveling my walk this morning. Then I realized that I was already dressed for work and it wouldn't be that wise since I was already running late.
