The city's schools are closed today due to the blowing snow. I shoveled the 5" (8" in places) and braved the 35mph winds while walking to work. I probably didn't really need to shovel since it's supposed to be in the 40s today. According to my dad, the last appreciable snow last year was on today's date so he supposes that this is the last storm front we'll have. We'll see.
