I arranged the airfare for my grandfather and his wife to come in June. I gave them some choices and it looked like the one through Alaska's site was the best, but since they needed travel insurance, Travelocity ended up being the best. However, after I went through everything and put it on my credit card, my grandfather's wife called to say that she got an e-mail stating that due to technical difficulties, the travel insurance didn't go through. I called Travelocity and they shrugged and gave me a site for travel insurance, but that was way more and not as comprehensive as the one that was offered so then they gave me the phone number for the company that they go through. I would've thought that would have been the first thing that they did. I called, they gave me a service recovery site, I put in some info and ta-dah, perfect. Called my grandparents back and told them that the policy information was being e-mailed to them. I just checked my credit card and I have four charges pending for the insurance portion. Three from Travelocity, and one from the insurer. I'll keep an eye on it to see if they all make it from the pending status to my statement.

I, of course, paid off my credit card on Friday and wasn't going to charge anything else this statement, but since my grandparents are sending me a check today, it's no big deal. Now if only I could get the money from my sister/mother for the flight I booked in February.

I got an estimate from the student painters for my shop. Umm, yeah, looks like I'll have to paint my shop myself. The estimate ($1350) was only $150 less than the one I got from the professional painter. Considering it will cost me about $50 in paint, it'd be kinda wasteful not to do it myself. I just hate ladders.

Walking up to work this morning (with a little flakage, ahem), I realized that it's only three weeks until graduation and I can get my town back. No more students!

Clem texted "With A K" (as I call him) on Wednesday to ask him over for margaritas and tacos. He said probably not. He texted later to ask if it was too late for him and a buddy to come, she said no, an hour later she texted him to see if he was close, and he said his buddy blew him off and he had work to do, but he'd see her the next night at the weekly party. She said she was finished, she'd show up late looking hot, but the ball was in his court. The next day she IMd me to tell me that they were going to the movies on Monday. I said, "As long as he doesn't flake." I just got a text from her this morning saying that he flaked, she hasn't heard from him for plans for tonight. I told her that it's time to find something else to do tonight.
