Am I physically able to spend a year's savings on a trip to Paris? If it were Venice, I'd say...perhaps, but I've never had much of a desire to go to Paris. I could see the Louvre and Notre Dame and the Champs-Élysées in a day, why spend money on several days of hotel in a city I have no desire to be in? Hell, I can't even bring myself to spend money on a Wii, much less on something as fleeting as a plane ticket. Having said that, I've done some research and Paris wouldn't be too bad...especially if I then hop a plane over to Ireland.
