Oh yay! The guy from my elementary school won the gold! I recorded it last night, but couldn't wait so I looked it up this morning.

That makes two people that I know (or have heard of?) to have a medal. The other is in the family, kinda -- follow the bouncing ball -- my late grandfather's wife's daughter's life partner who medaled in basketball. Not sure when she got hers, but perhaps early '70s.
