Return of the WAK

Clementine ran into that guy who blew her off last year. The one who blew her off with a drunk phone call saying that he was going to date his high school girlfriend. Yeah, that one.

I have some other news, too. But I'm not sure you're going to appreciate it, haha! At my party, WAK showed up and we started talking, exchanging the usual awkward friendliness, but when I asked the requisite "How was your summer?" he just said, "Eh, it was all right. But, uh...I missed you a lot." And he went into this thing about how even in the couple days following the night where he ended our whatever it was, he knew he'd made a mistake, and not just because his friend said "What the f*ck dude, she was the coolest girl we've met at school, you're an idiot." Also, he went on to say that when he got home and was hanging out with that girl, he realized he'd never want to date her and kept comparing her to me. He said that he wanted to call me but felt like such a retard and that he wanted to talk to me in person once he got down here. So...there we have it. I'm not going to lie it was probably one of my favorite moments of the summer, especially because I definitely still like him. I do have some residual bitterness about being blown off for another girl so I'm not sure
what's going to happen, but it did make me happy and I do want to hang out with him again. SO, pretty much...He was lame, but his whole spiel was REALLY sweet and if you get past his initial lame-ness you can kind of see the "ahhwa" moment in there.

I replied with my thoughts of the friend seems like a keeper, what's his story?, and WAK had some strikes against him before the main event of his idiocy, mainly not knowing how to make a date and keep it. So, I offered her the free advice that he'd better straighten up and fly right and she'd better learn to respect herself enough not to put up with any crap.

He called her Saturday to just say that he was too busy to call her so that's a start. She was a little depressed and went to a party where she met a very gorgeous guy. They chatted and danced and even though they didn't exchange numbers, they know a few people in common so it's not outside the realm of possibility to see him again. Meanwhile, WAK called her Wednesday and they're going to see the Dandy Warhols tonight in LA. Luckily she's driving so that makes me feel better.

She IMd me this morning in anticipation of tonight. Mentioned wanting to go home and clean her room and get cute. To which I replied that there was no need to clean her room since he would not be seeing it, ahem.

Clem: It'll take more then taking me to a concert for him to see my room

Me: Like the ability to make and keep a few dates

Clem: ...like getting me liquored up

Me: ...and by a few, I mean 150

Clem: Just kidding, I'm a LADY

Me: When did that happen?
