I just realized that the post before last was pretty dramatic. Once I investigated a little bit, the fire wasn't all that close to them and they were downgraded to an evacuation warning instead of a mandate a little while after.

The fire did come pretty close to the house that I lived in from 3 days to about 4 years old. I don't technically have any memories from that house, but I do in the one my dad lived in a few years later that was across the street from that one. The people who lived there when we lived across the street had peacocks and the cool powder that turns flames different colors. I thought that was the coolest thing. To this day if someone has a fire place, I give them pine cones with the stuff as a housewarming present.
