Beware

I opened my big mouth and am now hosting a baby shower for a co-worker at my house. I asked the receptionist to e-mail the invitation to the female faculty and staff members and was not specific enough so it went to lab staff as well. I hope several of those people don't come.

I looked into flights for a trip to Illinois this Summer and I think I've got one that'll work. I 'll fly into St Louis and then my friends will pick me up and we'll go to their house in Illinois. She said something about taking a ferry over the river to Kentucky so I'll hit Missouri, Illinois, and Kentucky during the trip and on the way home, the flight goes to San Francisco and then Seattle before Idaho. I can eat breakfast in Illinois, lunch in Missouri, Dinner in California, and a snack in Seattle on the day I fly back. How worldly of me...nation-ly? Cosmopolitan.

I couldn't wait for Thursday, so I made a corned beef on Sunday. It was pretty good, if I do say so myself.
