Last time I went to California I couldn't title an entry that way since it was a surprise. :)
I bought my tickets and reserved a car for the wedding in Santa Cruz in May. I've decided not to detour to Santa Barbara this trip, which means that I'll be in California for 47 hours. I got an OK deal on airfare into San Jose. And I'll be at home on Memorial Day so it'll seem like I've had a weekend...I hope.
I'm sure that I'll get flack for not coming to my grandmother's 80th birthday in April, but oh well. I already broke the promise of not going to Santa Barbara this year so whatever. And I have no particular need to see my snooty cousins. Or snooty uncle. Or spoiled siblings. Or any one else for that matter. So there. (Yes, I stamped my foot and stuck out my tongue).
