Brunch -- How Mod

I had brunch at my house on Sunday. Yup, I volunteered to have nine other people in my house. On a positive note, this is my second function this year -- the first being a co-worker's baby shower -- so I'm all finished with social obligations for the year.

On Friday, I thought that I was going overboard on the food, so I spontaneously invited another co-worker and her husband as I was leaving work. On Saturday, I thought that I'd run out of food so I decided on a couple of other things. It all worked out well. When Michelle and her husband left and no one else did, I got a little nervous, but the straggler left within another 15 minutes or so. I made oatmeal muffins (plain, with raisins, and with blueberries) and bubble bread (like a caramel roll that's made in a tube pan so you pull them apart), lime bread, summer pudding, crock-pot breakfast casserole (hash browns, sausage, bacon, onions, peppers, cheese, eggs), baked French toast casserole, and I bought some fruit and donut holes. Michelle's husband made a smoked salmon dip. I thought the muffins and fruit would go the fastest, but it was the casseroles. Thank goodness because everything else was easy to bring to work this morning so it can be gone from my fridge.
