I Scream, You Scream

I guess it has been a little while since I updated since I've been to another golf lesson and still haven't reported on the first. The first night was OK, it was putting and the lessons were only until 7:00, but we stayed and practiced until 8:00 and then had a beer and fries in the clubhouse so we didn't get back to Moscow until 9:30!

Last week's lesson was the full swing at the driving range. I only had one complaint -- he taught us the swing without teaching the grip. We asked him and he said to "do the best you can" until he got to us. Well, we were at the end of the queue so we were hitting balls for about an hour before he finally got to us. Therefore, I am now used to an incorrect grip. Poopyhead. Other than that, he's OK. We got home at 9:15. I don't know about this, it's past my bed time. The women with whom I am going think we are ready to play this week. Umm, I don't think so, but I know that I'm basically the comedy relief in the group. We'll see how it goes.

I went to Spokane this weekend for the auto swapmeet. My dad bought a couple of items for the Model T which, after we were finished walking around, he didn't need anymore because he'd changed his mind on what he was going to do after admiring a finished T.

Sunday, I experimented with my new ice cream sandwich maker. I made chocolate cookie wafers (Oreo-like, only about 3" wide) and used mint 'n' chip ice cream. They look pretty, but I'm not sure how long it'll take for the cookies to soften. Next, I'm going to try my chocolate chip oatmeal cookies with vanilla ice cream.
