Jitters

I haven't been sleeping well. Trouble falling asleep which I do quite often, but now waking up several times after having panicky dreams. The night before last was the best night's sleep I've had in a while and then last night I got about 5 hours. That would be OK, if I had come off of a week of good nights. So, today I have the sleep deprivation jitters. Add to that the excitement of the latest Harry Potter book at this very moment being at the UPS place 8 miles away just waiting until tomorrow before coming to my house and you can understand why I can't get anything done today and why this morning is going by so s.l.o.w.l.y.

I went golfing last night and it was quite fun. Of course, I'd just be happy driving around in the carts. We only did two holes and it took us quite a long time...40 minutes a hole. But, it was very fun.

I'm taking the afternoon off. Originally, I was supposed to do yard work and laundry, but I'm tired. It seems a shame to waste comp time on sleep. First, I'm stopping by the university ticket office to buy a ticket to the repertory production of The Reduced Shakespeare Company's "Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)". I saw the company's "Complete History of the world (abridged)" so I don't have very high hopes of the repertory theatre's rendition doing it justice. Especially since it's outside on a lawn. We'll see.
