57 Days

Clem finally booked her flights this morning. I've been telling her to do so for ages. We leave for Walt Disney World in 57 days for Pete's sake and I didn't know when she was coming, how she was getting here, or how long she was staying. On Saturday, she found a schedule that would work, but this morning she found a better one.

Originally she wanted to fly into Seattle so we could go to our favorite pie shop. I explained that a) the shop was closer to me than Seattle and b) then I'd have to drive her back to catch her plane. Twenty hours of driving seems excessive for a piece of pie. It's much better that she fly into Spokane and then we can take a road trip for pie. Then she asked about the pie place in Grangeville and what if she flew into Lewiston. Well, the plane into Lewiston is more expensive and it doesn't get in until midnight so we're better off making a road trip to that pie shop. Then she was looking at dates and would only be here for two full days and I expect I will need recovery time. So now, it's all worked out. She'll fly into Spokane at decent hours and will be here one full day before we leave and 6 1/2 days after. Good plan.

After he booked the flight, her dad told her that she will be paying for the ticket. Bet she wishes she didn't go snowboarding in Aspen and blow all of her money.
