Couple More Things

My cousin's cancer is invasive and she may need chemotherapy depending on what is found in the mastectomy surgery. She's getting implants at the same time so the surgery isn't scheduled until May 1 when the oncologist and plastic surgeon could be there at the same time.

My great-aunt is now in a home. She's had a few falls and swore her caregiver not to tell her daughter. She mentioned something about going to a home to her caregiver last Monday who contacted her daughter and said that it seems she might want to go into a home. As it happens, my cousin Clyde had been scoping out homes in the event one would eventually be needed and had gone to see one that day. So when, that night, the caregiver told her that it now may be the time, it was very fortuitous. The next day, Clyde went over to talk to my aunt who said that she's been ready for a couple of years and had been praying for God to show her family to the right path. Um, how about letting them know?! So, they went to check out the home on Tuesday, the house-call doctor was there to give her a health assessment and preliminary exam and she moved in on Wednesday. She's been there a week and is loving it. It's a private home in Montecito, only 6 guests, with private gardens, etc. It sounds pretty plush.
