Here I was whining in the last entry about temperatures in the twenties. Right now it's 12 degrees with a "feels like" of minus 1. We got about 3 1/4" of snow last night so this morning I tweaked my back a bit shoveling. Trying not to move too much today.

Girl's Weekend 2006: Salt Lake City (We Don't Talk to Strangers) was a success. Except we didn't do two things that I wanted. Oh well. We were freaked out by the Mormons at Temple Square..."How does it make you feel knowing there's a prophet on Earth?" My friend didn't hear the question so she answered, "Interesting." When she realized what the question was, she later commented that she wished she would have said, "I don't know, let's go to the Magic 8 ball...Ask again later." I spent nearly $200 shopping and although it's not even a third of what my friend spent, for old cheapskate me, it's a fortune. over a quarter of it was on her daughter so it wasn't all for me.

My dad's all moved in at Viola. Waiting for some occupancy permit to get all set up. Has someone working on drawing up the plans for the house and is getting pretty jazzed about it.

We went to a restaurant in a hotel for Thanksgiving dinner and it was OK. Still ate too much. We went to a movie on Saturday and then he came over for dinner. I think it's going to be Ok with him closer. If only he'll stop coming by my house to use the bathroom when he's doing errands in town.

We saw "Stranger than Fiction" and both really liked it. It's the best movie I've seen in...I dunno. I honestly can't remember the last movie I saw in the theatre that I really liked. There've been a few in the last year that my dad has liked and I felt indifferent to. Perhaps "Love, Actually" was the last one and that was a very long time ago.

Busy at work, the annual report for the big grant is due Friday and I'm
