Yay, Daddy! He may have saved me $1200! My house really needs to be painted (as in two years ago) and the quote I got was astronomical, but I knew that it would be done right. He had some tenants grossly overdue in the rent and the guy said that he'd be happy to paint a place for my dad as a thank you for bearing with them and showed him his portfolio. My dad sent him a letter with pictures of my house stating that if he wanted to, he could paint the trim on my house in lieu of the next month's rent (I'd just pay my dad the rent). Sounds like a win, win to me! Now let's hope he says yes.
