My office computer is doing odd things again -- for the third time, it has spontaneously decided that it wants to be on the computer sales floor so it gets rid of my profile and uses the default. I called the college's IT guy and I went home this morning. Not the best way to use comp time, but I got a lot of stuff done: cleaned out the pantry, went to the recycling center, went to Walmart. I called in at 1:00 and was told it was working. When I got in, I had to call the IT guy again, but a quick 30 minutes later (as opposed to a slow 30 minutes) and I was back in business. I ordered a new computer this afternoon.

This weekend was good, I got to hang out with Megan a couple of times. I went down to the valley to rent out a house (the new tenant named her kid Howdy, guess what his last name is? At least he's not a red-head) and thought I was going to grab a cheesecake for dessert and game night, but as I was getting out of the car at Costco (after waiting for it to open), I realized that I didn't have my checkbook. Grr.

It was Megan's parents' anniversary so they were to go to dinner and I was going out to watch her. After they returned from dinner, it was dessert and game night with a couple of their other friends. Ryan volunteered to work for a neighbor and he thought he'd be finished by noon. With an ordering snafu and slow workers, he didn't get finished until 4:30. Instead of going out to dinner, they had me run to the store for steaks before heading out there and we all ate together. I was there until 11:00 and after the two beers I had with dinner, I was very sleepy. But, I did kick ass at game night.

On Sunday, they decided to go horseback riding with some friends so I came out to watch Megan. I was going to bring us the dinner that I had planned on bringing the night before, but the eatery is closed on Sunday. I think it's a conspiracy since I've been craving it for over a week. Originally I was going to have it while reading Harry Potter, but the book came at 11 and I didn't want to wait in town until they opened at noon. I'm actually salivating right now.

Megan is actually a two year old now. Although, I don't know how much is being two and how much is missing her afternoon nap. Luckily for me, I can deal with tantrums. That's not going to get you anywhere with me, missy. The major meltdown(s) was at bedtime so we were able to get some good playing in before that.

Next week -- and maybe this week -- I get to pick her up from daycare and take her to her tumbling class. Ahhwa.
