We're trying to get a research associate professor in our department because he didn't get tenure in another department. His department said that we could appoint him and he could use his current lab space. But he wants completely out of the department so we're (I'm) scrambling to get him some space...one.floor.away. from his current space. Idiot.
Two of, Stacey's friends showed up at her house Monday night to give her a birthday card. First of all, no one just shows up at her house without advanced warning and secondly certainly not on a weeknight. Then they had the gall to blame me (me) for the lack of her birthday plans. Umm, excuse me? Now I, of course, like them even less.
I found out yesterday, through the grapevine as I'm not supposed to know, that our financial person is applying for another job. I don't care for her (wow, lots of people I'm not fond of, perhaps it's me...naw), but she is competent so it's a little concerning.
As long as I'm on a roll, I called my mom on Sunday to let her know that I am now owed $407.00. Since I put my sister's flight on my.credit.card.in.February and another month closed, I'm charging them (my sister seems to think that she's resolved of the debt) the interest. Why should I pay it and take money out of savings? I can't remember if I had said this, but my sister gave my mom the money to send to me and she put it in her account and spent it. On Sunday she said that she didn't realize where that money had come from until after she'd spent it. Um, hello, bookkeeper for 20 years. I gave her the lecture of paying me anything at all is better than nothing. Then she said that she didn't have a lot of money because my brother has been out of work since last August (umm, what?) and so she's been helping out as she can.
But, but, but, you can't, you're obviouslt not in a position to help. You mean I've been subsidizing him.
Yeah, right, with only $400? Haha!
But you had my money and gave money to someone else, therefore that's...never mind. Just send me something.
