My dad's cousin sent me some pictures and things that she found as she's preparing to move, including a framed 8x10 portrait photo of my dad that his buddy did as an assignment for Brooks Institute in the '60s. My dad is in a dashing brown corduroy blazer.

I also got a lot of photos of family from the '50s and '60s that my dad may be able to identify and a lot of photo Christmas cards from my dad's parents spanning 1953-1988. And one photo Christmas card from my parents (I think in '78). The photo was obviously taken of the four of us at one of their barbeques, but there's something classic about it that the picture for the Christmas card has my mom holding a beer. There were also little things like a postcard to my great aunt from my grandfather when he was visiting Ireland and a Christmas card to my great uncle from my dad when he was 10.

I have to go out on Friday to meet with the housesitting people to go over watering. Last time I sat for them it wasn't growing season. I'll take the pictures, and dinner, with me and stop at my dad's so we can go through them.
