From my grandfather's widow:
Good morning on this anniversary of the Day of Infamy, Dec. 7, 1941. There aren't too many of us who remember what they were doing that day.
I put out the US and Navy flags in honor of your Pop. He never spoke of it much but it was certainly a day he never forgot.
I want to thank you for lowering the racks so I can put them out. If the wind is blowing I still have some trouble but today it is very still. There isn't much I can do for him now but remember the things that mattered to him.
