Will Wonders Never Cease

I heard from everyone on my birthday yesterday. Cousins, uncle, parents, sister. Yes, sister. The one who hasn't spoken to me for a year and a half. Out of the blue sent me an e-greeting. It was delayed in e-mail land so I didn't get it until this morning. It didn't say anything about wanting to borrow money or anything. Hmm, curiouser and curiouser.

I called my mom and her husband to thank them for the fleece sweatshirts (I'm wearing one right now. I figured that if I paired it with a skirt, it would be dressy enough for work), talked to me grandma, called my cousin back. Why should I call her back? It's my birthday. I shouldn't have to if I don't want to. Sheesh. A couple of friends called me, one sang while her husband played the guitar, badly. It had me cracking up. I got a few IM'd greetings, a few e-mail greetings. One e-mail greeting telling me happy birthday and that the sender was in an accident (hit a concrete column in a parking garage -- deployed air bag). Received an e-mail this morning informing me that I have 364 days until 30. Nice.
