It Belongs in a Museum!

I've been helping the receptionist clean out the supply room (can't she do anything on her own?!) and we've come across some very interesting things. Does anyone want DOS 3.0 or 5.2 (for IBM and compatibles)? How about some typewriter ribbons? 5 1/4" floppy disks -- the ones that are actually floppy? I'm feeling a bit old, I remember those floppies in the classroom computer. I also remember being very impressed when the classroom computer needed to be re-booted and a kid in the class went over and did it....How did he know how to do that?! I was in awe of that kid. I thought that he had gone to college as an engineering major, I heard a few months ago that he's a preacher man in San Diego.

I didn't go to the bookstore on Saturday because my gift certificate is in a safe place. I remember seeing it about a month and a half ago and thinking that I should put it "some place safe" but hell if I know now where that was.

The coffee shop officially opened today. I stopped in and bought coffee for the office staff (what a kind supervisor I am) and it took 30 minutes. I think they only screwed up on one of the 5 drinks and it was only the size -- we all know that size doesn't matter. I let it slide.

I was telling the people in the office that there were a lot of people there and the receptionist said it was probably because the owners go to a big church and that's where they met each other. Umm, no. The one owner that I know is a hard core atheist. I mean hard core.
